Veteran artist Heiner Bade has turned in a fine job illustrating Idar Pettersen’s script and as usual, has created some impressive villains.

You will like the central character—Viyaya—a former roughneck and criminal with a soft side to his nature, who finally realises the errors of his ways and starts a new life deep in the jungle.

That’s more than a little interesting, because you can research as many stories as you like by Lee Falk and Scandinavian-commissioned authors without finding too many which depicted the total reform of criminal heavyweights.

I always get a kick out of seeing The Phantom in action in overseas cities, but there is something special and satisfying about The Ghost Who Walks battling roughnecks in his traditional jungle surrounds!
