"The Murder Victim" - story by Tony DePaul and art by Cesar Spadari

Story :

Our new story takes us back a little in Phantom history!

To the end of 1994 in fact and Frew edition No 1093.

That issue carried a story called Hijackers on Board and introduced rich young American heiress Carolyn Benson.

In that story, ‘Carolyn’ was the spelling of her Christian name, but in our new story The Murder Victim, the spelling has changed to ‘Carolin’.

Sorry, can’t help with the reason!

The same writer (Tony DePaul) and the same artist (Cesar Spadari) - and a strange name change!

Another Phantom mystery!

If you have Frew No 1093, look at the final page of the story. In the very last panel, Carolyn Benson, having been saved by The Phantom from an attempted assassination, recovers in hospital only to find that The Ghost Who Walks has signed himself out of the same hospital and returned to the Deep Woods.

….One day we’ll meet again, you and me, Walker….I just know it….!’ vows Miss Benson.

Now, in our new story, it has come true—ten years after their first meeting!
