Super Yank is a Frew Publications series released in November 1950 and was published every month, running from issue 1 to 19 (however, issue 7 was never printed or released). Each issue contained 24 pages, with 7 to 13 pages dedicated to the Phantom.
Catman debuted in the second issue of Super Yank Comics, written and drawn by the Australian cartoonist Lloyd Piper. The most noticeable difference about this new, Australian version of Catman was that the character's sidekick was changed to a young boy named Kit!
A matching two-volume archival hardcover set exquisitely presented in a three-quarter felt binding. The vibrant neon-pink felt wraps completely around the spine to form the entire back cover—featuring crisp inset printed panels for the historical text and barcoding—and extends 4.5 cm onto the front board. This creates a distinct plush border that perfectly frames the smooth, glossy inset pictorial front boards showcasing painted tribute artwork by Chris Wahl and Glenn Lumsden. Both volumes retain perfectly flat, square-bound spines with bold yellow title lettering.
