The Phantom adventure Floating Borders, written by Claes Reimerthi and illustrated by Kari Leppänen, is a story that works on two levels. On the surface, it is a classic jungle adventure featuring the Ghost Who Walks confronting ruthless forces in Bangalla. Beneath the action, however, lies a thoughtful reflection on power, borders, and the consequences of exploiting both people and nature.
Simulacra Part 3 continues the unsettling atmosphere established in the earlier chapters, deepening the sense that the Phantom has wandered into a world where reality itself feels unstable. Writer Julie Ditrich leans strongly into themes of perception, belief and madness, drawing on the eerie vocabulary and cosmic dread, a tone reinforced by the unsettling invocations and cult-like imagery. Wendell Cavalcanti’s artwork heightens the tension with shadowy jungle environments and expressive, almost hallucinatory visuals that make the Daintree setting feel both ancient and ominous. This instalment suggests that the greatest danger may not be physical at all, but psychological!
