The Phantom adventure Floating Borders, written by Claes Reimerthi and illustrated by Kari Leppänen, is a story that works on two levels. On the surface, it is a classic jungle adventure featuring the Ghost Who Walks confronting ruthless forces in Bangalla. Beneath the action, however, lies a thoughtful reflection on power, borders, and the consequences of exploiting both people and nature.
Simulacra Part 3 continues the unsettling atmosphere established in the earlier chapters, deepening the sense that the Phantom has wandered into a world where reality itself feels unstable. Writer Julie Ditrich leans strongly into themes of perception, belief and madness, drawing on the eerie vocabulary and cosmic dread, a tone reinforced by the unsettling invocations and cult-like imagery. Wendell Cavalcanti’s artwork heightens the tension with shadowy jungle environments and expressive, almost hallucinatory visuals that make the Daintree setting feel both ancient and ominous.
