“Dangerous Waters” is a 2024 Team Fantomen story written by Bernd Frenz, with art by Janusz Ordon. Bernd Frenz is a German comic writer whose previous work you may remember reading in “Captured from Above” which we featured in Frew Issue No 1998 earlier this year. Janusz Ordon is a Polish artist whose work has been consistently impressive over numerous Fantomen stories in recent years. He first appeared on the Phantom art horizon in 2018 with a story written by Mikael Sol, called “The Forgotten Tribe” It may be just a personal opinion but I always find his artwork to be quite stunningly detailed, almost hyperrealism if that is a comic book thing. I am also delighted to be able to bring you part 1 of “Hunter’s Prey”, a new series by the Australian artist and writer Shane Foley which follows directly on from the point where “Bad Blood in Bangalla” concluded. This has all the style, charm and Phantom authenticity that we have come to expect from Shane’s work.
