“Broken Tusk” is a 2024 Fantomen story written by David Bishop with art by Anthony Spay & Brian Atkins. The writer David Bishop, a New Zealand born creative who has carved out a place for himself in the Phantom archives. In 2001, Bishop began his career as a writer of “The Phantom” for Team Fantomen. His first story “Convent Island” introduced the character Lady Kate Sommerset also known as The Pirate Queen, who quickly became a fan favourite and central character for several stories.

Fleshing out this comic with a wonderful story created by Paul Mason, is Phantom Vietnam #10, “Going up the Country.” When I read this action-packed episode, I really enjoyed it! An authentic and genuine tip of the cap to that epic American war film from 1979 directed by Francis Ford Coppola, “Apocalypse Now.”
