"The Pugilist" - story by Claes Reimerthi and art by Felmang and Anthony Benny.

Cover art by Romano Felmang.

The Pugilist is a team Fantomen story which was written by Claes Reimerthi, with art by Felmang and Anthony Benny. It is another of the Phantom stories which had been overlooked by Frew in the past. We are delighted to have been able to gain access to this wonderful art, and to bring to you a story from the chronicles which sheds light on the history of one of the highly revered and prominent characters of the Phantom’s universe. Beautifully illustrated, it’s a cracker of a story that traces the struggles and dangers faced by a young man whose only apparent gift is the ability to fight extremely well. He is fresh off the boat from Ireland and soon finds himself being manipulated by those keen to take advantage of his skill set. Sometimes life can present us with lessons which, if we are prepared to learn from, we may benefit and alter the course of our existence. The Phantom’s ancestor was ultimately a strong and guiding influence on our young pugilist. He must have seen some potential there!
