  • "The Dragon Throne" - story by Jens Hansegard and art by Heiner Bade.

The Dragon Throne, is especially interesting, because it involves a quite rare visit to China by The Phantom.

Surprisingly perhaps, Lee Falk only ever skirted around the edges of mysterious Chinese culture during his long years of creating Phantom adventures.

Not so the Scandinavian publishers! Swedish-based publisher Egmont and in earlier days, the Semic organisation, later to be absorbed into Egmont, while not exactly overdoing things, have come up with a number of stories   incorporating Chinese influences.

This basic plot of this latest adventure, written by Jens Hansegard and illustrated by Heiner Bade, is nowhere near as complicated, but incorporates a neat use of the famous entombed porcelain Chinese warriors (which not only exist, but occasionally go on world exhibition tours) story.
